Beginner Daily Lessons
Beginner Riders can get an idea of riding horses in these 3 day in a row riding lessons. These lessons are about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Scroll down for schedule and cost.
Activity Mornings
These Activities are designed for Intermediate riders and experienced beginners. They get to spend more time with the horses and do things there is no time for in the regular lessons. See below for descriptions of activities. Scroll down for schedule and cost.
Day Camps

Summer Beginner Daily Lessons
Daily Lessons
These 1 hour lessons are designed for beginners and young riders. They are offered in 3 day sets only.
Hours: Varies depending on number of students.
If only 6 or less students then 9:15 - 10:30 a.m.
If class needs to be split in to 2 classes then 8:00 - 9:45 or 10:00 - 11:15 a.m.
Time for your child will be determined when class is full.
3 Days in a row: Cost: $170

July 22 - 24 Mon - Wed
If interest of at least 3 students will add other 3 day dates. Must ask 1 month prior.
Summer Activity Mornings
Summer Morning Activities
These activities are for Shady Lawn Ranch students that would like to have some different experiences on or with the horses.
Each Activity Morning includes one or two of the following possibilities:
Bareback riding
Trail ride
Games on horseback
Vaulting
Bathing a horse
(Choice of activity will not be decided until we know the size and/or level of the group.)
Cost: $80 per morning or 3 mornings for $225
Hours: 8:15 - 11:00

Monday - Thursday mornings Day Campers have an unmounted lesson using the CHA Riding Manuals and a Riding Lesson covering topics out of the Manual. In the afternoon Campers do assorted activities with or on the horses.
Friday morning is testing. These are written and riding tests to show what they have learned through the week.
Hours are 8:00 - 3:00 Monday - Friday and 8:00 - 11:00 on Saturday
It is important to know that although we are often in shaded areas, we are outside the whole time so campers need to be able to handle the heat.

$585 must be paid in FULL to hold your space. Camps generally are full by mid May if not before. You can pay a deposit of $150 but you must pay in full by May 1. NO Refunds.
Cost: If pay in full by May 1 - $585
After May 1: $595
Bring own lunch & water bottle. We will refill water bottles or supply packaged water bottles..
